Copyright and Takedown Policy

Last updated: October 17, 2026

In short. If you think content on or made with Testo infringes your copyright, uses your name or likeness without consent, or is unlawful, tell our Grievance Officer. Send the details below and we will review it promptly and act on valid notices and lawful orders.

Our approach

Testo respects intellectual-property and personality rights. Users must have the rights to what they submit and must follow the Acceptable Use Policy, and we act on valid notices as an intermediary under the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the IT Rules, 2021.

What you can report

  • Content that reproduces your copyrighted work without permission.
  • Content that uses your name, likeness or identity without consent, including impersonation.
  • Sexual or intimate content that is non-consensual, content that sexualises children, or other unlawful content.
  • Our own website content that copies your work.

How to send a notice

Write to our Grievance Officer (details below) with:

  1. Your name, address, phone number and email address, and, if you act for someone else, proof that you may do so.
  2. A description of the work or right you say is infringed, with evidence of ownership or consent where possible.
  3. Where the problem is: a link, the account concerned, or a copy of the content. We can only act on content we can identify.
  4. A short explanation of why it is unlawful or infringing.
  5. A statement that you believe in good faith that the use is not authorised by the owner, its agent or the law, and that the information in your notice is accurate. If you are sending a notice under US copyright law (17 U.S.C. section 512), include a statement, under penalty of perjury, that you are authorised to act for the owner, and your physical or electronic signature.
  • Company: Testo
  • Grievance Officer: Grievance Officer
  • Online: contact form
  • Response: we acknowledge within 48 hours and aim to resolve within 15 days, or sooner where the law requires.

What we do

  • We acknowledge your notice within 48 hours and review it. We may ask you for more detail.
  • If a notice is valid, we remove or disable access to the content without delay and may warn, limit or close the account concerned. For non-consensual intimate content, child sexual abuse material, or content that is the subject of a lawful government or court order, we act within the shorter times the law sets.
  • We may tell the account holder that the content was removed and why, and share your notice with them, unless the law or safety reasons forbid it. Tell us in your notice if you do not want your details shared.
  • We preserve related records for the period the law requires and may give them to the authorities.

Counter-notice

If we removed your content and you believe it was a mistake or that you have the right to use it, write to the Grievance Officer with the account email, the content concerned and an explanation, including evidence of your rights. We will review it, and may restore the content if the complainant does not take further legal action within a reasonable period or the notice proves to be unfounded.

Repeat infringers

We close the accounts of users who repeatedly infringe the rights of others.

False or abusive notices

Knowingly making a false claim can lead to legal liability, including for damages and costs. Please be sure of your rights before you send a notice.

Other routes

This policy does not replace your right to approach a court or other authority, or to complain to the Grievance Appellate Committee under the IT Rules about a decision on content, where that applies.
