Live chat and an AI agent for WordPress
Install the plugin, paste your widget key, and the chat is on every page. Logged-in users are recognised, your own buttons can open the chat, and waiting customers show on your WordPress dashboard.
Free plugin · WordPress 6.3+ · PHP 7.4+

No code to paste into your theme. The plugin adds the chat to your pages and keeps your settings in WordPress.

Any button can open the chat
Use the shortcode in a post or page, add a menu link to #chatdo, or give any element the class chatdo-open-chat.
- Works in menus, posts, pages and the block editor
- Works with every version of the plugin

WordPress plugin questions
Is the plugin free?
Yes. The plugin is free; you need a ChatDo account, and the free plan is enough to start.
Which WordPress and PHP versions does it need?
WordPress 6.3 or newer and PHP 7.4 or newer.
Does it work with caching plugins?
Yes. Pages for logged-in people are marked as not cacheable. Pages for visitors who are not logged in contain no personal data and can be cached as usual.
Does it slow down my site?
The chat script loads asynchronously from ChatDo, so your pages do not wait for it. The plugin sends nothing from your server to ChatDo unless you add an API key for the dashboard box.
Can I hide the chat on some pages?
Yes. List paths such as /checkout or /account/*, and choose user roles that should not see the chat.
Does it work with WooCommerce?
Yes. The chat runs on WooCommerce shops like any other page, and in ChatDo you can connect your store so the AI agent tells customers their order status and shows your products.
Is the name and e-mail from WordPress proof of who someone is?
No. The plugin passes the logged-in person's name and e-mail so they are not asked again, but it does not sign them. Treat them like details a visitor typed, and do not share private account details because of them alone.
